Aspirational Bias

Why we love one house more than another is a combination of many factors both rational and emotional. Aspirational Bias can impact our decision making. Our judgement can be clouded by how much we believe the purchase will impact what othe people will think about us. Does this investment make me look successful as opposed to does it give the maximum potential return. Is the property in a position that suits me verses is it in a street or locale that everyone else thinks is the “best” street.  “Why” and “Why not” are two good questions to constantly ask of yourself when decision making.
